Les Macarons Duverger were born from a singular inspiration.
When our chef, Claire Becker, arrived in the country in August 2008, she was caught by surprise by the success of her delicious French macarons among the American people.
She had always been an accomplished home baker and back in Paris, she would bake her macarons to share with her neighbors, friends and family. She used to play blind-test games with them, serving her own confections among other famous pastry chef’s macarons and would usually win.
Aware of the importance of having a healthy diet, Claire Becker decided to develop her culinary creation as a business and she outlined her project: Les Macarons Duverger, a unique manufacturer of upscale all-natural and authentic French macarons.
Thanks to her former career as a painting conservationist, she created the delicate color palette of her line of delicious macarons only from natural fruit and vegetable extracts.
Duverger is Claire's maiden name and the company logo is inspired by her family coat's of arms.
